Drop-in Acting Classes at Brave Studios for Advanced Actors.
Acting classes are important for all actors. As actors we can become very lazy waiting around (or wishing) for the phone to ring … sound familiar? You can wait all you want, but we advise that rather than hanging around for those elusive calls from your agent be pro’act’ive!
If you really want to get into gear come together with your fellow actors and do some scene work at Brave Studios. Our drop-in acting classes are all about actors coming together and working on scenes.
Drop-In classes at Brave Studios are run by Brave Studios’ Director Elle Mandalis and course Director and actor Damian Walshe-Howling. Our acting drop in classes are provided for actors needing to keep their skills alive and fresh.
Our latest group of actors got so much out of the drop in acting class, they left wanting more.
It is important to come together and get playful with other actors to get to the truth of a performance. How often do you get the chance to flex your muscles in a safe environmnet to explore your acting skills? Most actors will answer ‘not enough’. We encourage actors to stop themselves from falling into the trap of moaning about not getting work and get proactive, meet people, make connections in the industry. Remember that there is truth in the adage that it’s ‘who you know’. We find that after working together in acting classes and intensives at Brave Studios, many of our acting students want to continue working with the people they have met in class. Creative juices start to flow and out of it new creative works are often born. Damian and Elle guide actors to get to the truth of the scene using many techniques depending on how the individual student responds. All acting students find these sessions invaluable espesially observing other actors doing the work. We also have actors coming in to just observe for the night and walk away just as inspired as those involved.

PRE-REQUISITES
Participants must have experience equivalent to the Advanced Acting Intensive and/or professional experience or training.
